You might be asking yourself do you need resveratrol? What is it exactly?

Resveratrol is a particularly potent antioxidant that neutralises free radical damage and allows the collagen to keep on pumping. Resveratrol has become a world-famous anti-aging ingredient.

Did you know that red wine is rich in Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a polyphenic bioflavonoid antioxidant. It’s found in dark berries, raw cocoa and grapes.

The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% +3% Ferulic Acid

The Ordinary Resveratrol is

  • water-free,
  • silicone free,
  • oil-free and
  • alcohol free formula

That combines very high concentrations of two of the most powerful and important antioxidants in skincare: Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid. Resveratrol is a natural phenol found in several plants, and their pure source is 100% derived from Japanese Knotweed.

Ferulic Acid is a high-potency phytochemical antioxidant found naturally in walls of plant cells. When applied topically, ferulic acid helps to slow the ageing process by reducing the effects of damaging free radicals on the skin. It protects against sun damage, as well as assisting in skin’s regeneration functions to tackle skin that has already been over-exposed. It can also enhance the stability and the efficacy of vitamins C and E.

The Packaging, Texture and Feel of Resveratrol

Resveratrol comes in a glass UV protection 30 ml bottle. The texture is divine something between oil and water. I have to say this is an A+ product for me.

I use it mostly at night and my skin loves it. It hydrates the skin but sinks in very fast without any oily residue. I like to pair it with Vitamin C Suspension 23%  ( for a review click here). In the morning my skin is plump, fresh and glowy.

I would highly recommend trying this product.

Propanediol, Resveratrol, Ferulic Acid.

Is Resveratrol Safe to Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding?

It’s advised that pregnant women should stay away from resveratrol until they’ve stopped breastfeeding.
