I have decided to explore some new products from The Ordinary range.
Since my skin is dehydrated I decided upon Hyaluronic 2%+ B5.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5
Last few years we can see “hyaluronic boom” all over skincare industry. It’s hard to pick and choose from all products we have been bombarded on social media, blogs and newspaper.
Did you know that HA (hyaluronic acid) can attract up to 1,000 times its weight in water?
Keep in mind that the molecular size of HA determinates its dept of delivery in the skin.
The brand says that their formulation HA combines low, medium, and high-molecular-weight HA, as well as a next-generation HA crosspolymer at a combined concentration of 2% for multi-depth hydration.
The system is supported with the addition of Vitamin B5 which also enhances surface hydration.
Packaging Texture and Feel
The HA 2% +B5 comes in a glass 30 ml bottle with a pipette that allows easy dosage.
This is the first The Ordinary product that I’m not really pleased about. I don’t like the texture, it’s too tacky for my taste.
The product sinks into the skin instantly but leaves a slightly sticky residue which I’m not a fan of.
I always pick more watery textures that sink into the skin without the need to follow up with a moisturizer.
I’m not quite sure but I think I have noticed that it irritates my skin because I wake up the next morning with some whiteheads. I either use it with products that don’t go well together or is too rich for my skin. Because of that I’m still testing it and trying different ways I can incorporate it in my skincare routine. So far I’m not blown away by its magic.
I prefer other The Ordinary products such as Advanced Retinol 2%, Vitamin C 23% and Resveratrol 3% + 3%Ferulic Acid
